Mike, their master fitter, spent a lot of time with me doing checks, measurements, grip setups, swing speed, old swing weights ETC. I had the refit done and the results were, I think, spectacular! Thanks so much to you at Titleist and the crew at Golf Galaxy. So, i might be in Florida (close to Fort Lauderdale) next march 2014, Cathi can you give me a place where i might have the opportunity the try different IRON graphite shaft, and i understand that i can finish with a steel shaft, but i really want to make sure that graphite have been tested.
For woods-shaft is no-problem, it's all graphite, i bought Tour AD-DI 6 (s) on driver and 3 wood(fd) and love it. I know that for steel shaft it will be all there, but i figure if Boo Weekley can win a PGA tour with graphite shaft, and Matt Kuchar with steelfiber, it must be something going there. And very concern on what are avalaible on fitting session for iron shaft, if i want to know how is Bassara or SteelFiber not sure it will be in the fitter's bag. I know fitting is important, but even as a 6hcp, my swing is not always the same, i can have a couple weeks playing +2,+3 and then out for a +10, +12 for a few rounds and back at +5,+6.
On the 2013 list, Titeist offer only i95 and i110 for steelfiber, maybe in 2014 they will extend the offer ?. The other graphite shaft i had a temptation, were not in the Titleist option, so for Bassara UL it was lot a $, and for the i80cw steelfiber more affordable but on spec not a big difference compare to KK. I was going to try the KK shaft, after looking as many, many shaft, with a nice balance of torque (low) and light weight, i figure that the KK was to try. So Don a big thank you for your information on KK shaft, you saved me some $, but you send me to a mandatory fitting session.
Proud to have 913 driver and woods, vokey SM4 wedges, cameron putter and pro V1. Very nice offer by Titleist too DonT, it show how Titleist is serious on the customer service. It will allow you to get the best set of clubs for YOU Get Fitted at the best facility you can get to and bring an open mind. The KK shaft a good solid shaft You should test it. True Temper has some info on torque, as does Utube I think the shafts wound up being to light because we Didn't specify swing weight. This graphite thing is all about Feel! There is some internet info and True Temper has lot to say. I am now the proud owner 6 clubs, very fine set of steel clubs I love, that I paid $200 each for. GG didn't want to know about it."They are used" I get That. I wound up Paying Titleist $25 a club to re shaft the 6 clubs. we think the AP2s should been fited with a XP 85 300R and not the KuroGage.(however he was the Golf Pro that fitted me before.) After we talked he spoke with Titleist then his MGR and back to me, upon fitting me again with ap2 and AP1s with different shafts. So off we go to see Ben At GG to get this all sorted out. I played 3 rounds with my Garmin along found I had Lost almost 2 Clubs on avg my irons. And not swing weighted, I couldn't feel the club head at all. All good it seems SO WE DECIDED TO ORDER THE 714 ap2 WITH kUROkAGE 65 SHAFTS 6i thru GW. Ben the PGA Profesaional was doing a lesson so he was working that and my club fitting. So we hit balls and such without so much as a thought. Before and after my first 'sortta' Fitting. I went down to the GG in Westminster to hit these with the 714 head. After figuring out that the kuro Gage shaft had good writeups and such. Some months back started researching all about the 714 AP2 heads and what shafts were available. Is Titleist using a modified version of the shaft? If not, why the difference?īelow information from the mitsubishi web site : The s web site lists the torque=4.9 for flex R,S. Titleist lists the the TORQUE = 3.5 for flex A,R,S. Mr Norman Heiberg had a good question on XP95 shaft, i have about the same concern on the standard graphite shaft offer for the new 714 AP1,the Kuro Kage 65 Low balance according too the Titleist web site.
